Vibrant Health Advocates – Hermes is a community organisation in the truest sense: we exist because people in Forres and Moray care about the families around them. There is a meaningful role for you in this work.
Whether you want to give your time, make a financial contribution, or explore a partnership on behalf of an employer or organisation, there is a meaningful role for you in this work. Every hour volunteered, every donation received, and every collaborative relationship we build directly translates into sessions delivered, families supported, and children given a healthier start.
We are always looking for warm, reliable people to support our sessions as volunteer health advocates or session helpers — no medical background required, just a genuine interest in families and community. We provide full training and ongoing support, and many of our most valued volunteers first came to us as parents who attended our sessions.
Express interestAll of our sessions are free to families, and we rely on a combination of grant funding and individual donations to keep them that way. A one-off gift or a small regular contribution makes a direct, tangible difference: £15 funds the materials for a weaning workshop place; £50 covers the cost of a home visit to a rural family.
Make a donationLocal businesses and employers can support our work through payroll giving, staff volunteering days, or in-kind support such as venue use or printing. We are always open to conversations about partnership arrangements that work for both sides — please get in touch to explore what might be possible.
Start a conversationEvery penny we receive goes directly into sessions, training, and reaching families across Moray. Here is what your support actually buys.
Our volunteers come from all walks of life. Some are retired health visitors or nurses who want to stay connected to the work they love. Some are parents who came to our sessions when their children were small and never quite wanted to leave. Some are students and community workers who want hands-on experience supporting families in a genuine grass-roots setting.
What they all share is warmth, reliability, and a genuine interest in the people around them. We provide full induction training, ongoing support from our team, and a community of fellow volunteers who become genuine friends. Many of the lasting friendships in Forres began in a Hermes session — on both sides of the lanyard.
If you are interested in volunteering, there is no commitment required at the enquiry stage. Come along to one of our sessions, meet the team, and see whether it feels right. We would love to hear from you.
We would love to hear from you — whatever form of involvement you have in mind. Get in touch and we will take it from there.
